This track serves as a representation of stagnation in life.
While producing this EP, there were many times where I felt like my life was so stagnant. As it is with most artists, trying to gain traction or publicity as an artist when you are first starting out is challenging. To me, when you focus all of the extra time that you have towards doing something that you love - with the goal for the outcome being praise, people to enjoy your art, gaining publicity from your art - and then not seeing any progress? I feel that it makes that feeling of being stuck in your life, but also your career, way worse.
A huge musical inspiration for this track is the third section of Earl Sweatshirt’s “solace.”
This is the second track of two tracks with scrambled titles and an asterisk* and the end of their titles. This is intentional - both of these tracks’ project files became corrupted while I was producing this EP, and the renderings that I have are the only existing and functional files that I have for the tracks.
